Stayed here for a night in April, the staff werent rude but didnt have much to say, which really was fine by me as didnt have much to say to them! We didnt eat there so cant comment on food. Stayed in the Woodstock suite which had the nicest double jacuzzi and a four poster bed which was really comfy! Going back in April next year and am very excited about it as from looking at their menu they have a really large and varied selection of food and well priced beers! Dont understand what all the complaining is about! Obviously incredibly fussy people!!!!! Get a suite with double jacuzzi! You'll love it!!

Cant understand how this Hotel has taken such a hammering. We were worried after reading previous reviews after we booked it for our wedding anniversary celebrations. These were totally unfounded the staff bent over backwards to make sure our stay was a good one they were also very friendly and chatty. The food was fab, the carvery friday night was spot on along with the entertainment. A la cart on saturday night was the best, the fillet steak was without dought the best we've ever had and we've stayed in some excellent hotels. The room was spotless and of the highest standard 4 poster bed crisp white sheets the heating was on and the bathroom had a spa bath what more could you ask for and we had a private patio all for £195 including the carvery. What more could you ask for and its only 5 miles outside Oxford 2 miles to the park and ride £2 return Thanks for a great weekend

Friendly staff, room adequate, bed sheets and towels spotlessly clean. Breakfast excellent. Hotel in a pleasant setting and a big plus this hotel allows dogs in the rooms.

We didn't expect to be in the area and found the hotel quite by chance. It was wonderful that we did. We stayed 2 nights. Room was excellent with beautiful views over fields that had horses in them. Room was clean and very well laid out. Breakfast in the mornings was great and very well cooked. We also had an evening meal there and that was also good and inexpensive. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The only down side would be if you are not travelling by car the hotel is off the beaten track. However this has its plus side as the quietness and peacefulness of the surrounding grounds is wonderful. Our stay was also inexpensive. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
